HONG KONG – European investors can now directly participate in the top crypto market via the CoinDesk 20 index. WisdomTree has launched a new exchange-traded product (ETP) giving access to this index, unveiled at Consensus Hong Kong.

Alan Campbell, President of CoinDesk Indices, stated that the WisdomTree CoinDesk 20 ETP is a “defining moment for digital asset investing in Europe.” He added in a release that “The CoinDesk 20 delivers institutional investors an efficient route to invest in leading digital assets beyond just Bitcoin.”

WisdomTree’s Physical CoinDesk 20 ETP (WCRP) provides exposure to the digital assets within the CoinDesk 20. This is analogous to traditional finance ETPs tracking indices like the S&P 500 or NASDAQ.

WCRP is currently listed on several major European exchanges including Deutsche Börse Xetra, the Swiss Stock Exchange SIX, and Euronext in Paris and Amsterdam.

Furthermore, WCRP generates staking rewards, allowing investors to gain additional returns by contributing to the security of the supported blockchain networks.

The CoinDesk 20 Index, which debuted in January 2024, has rapidly become a primary benchmark for digital asset investors, achieving over $14 billion in trading volume within its first year.
