Exciting news for Telegram users! The platform’s built-in crypto wallet, simply called Wallet and powered by the TON blockchain, is expanding its reach, making cryptocurrencies more accessible to its massive 100 million+ user base.

The Open Platform (TOP), the team behind Wallet, has announced plans to significantly boost its crypto services. They’re set to introduce support for over 50 new altcoins within the Telegram wallet itself.

Get ready for a wider range of trading options! Wallet will soon support trading for over 50 additional altcoins, including popular names like XRP. Plus, users will have the opportunity to participate in yield programs to earn rewards on their holdings.

Previously, Wallet offered trading in a select few cryptocurrencies – TON, Bitcoin (BTC), and USDT. This expansion marks a significant step forward.

This upgrade is expected to go live in just two months, opening the doors to a much broader spectrum of cryptocurrencies for Telegram’s huge audience.

While the final list of new tokens is still being finalized, it’s anticipated to include some well-known altcoins. Keep an eye out for potential additions like Ethereum (ETH), XRP, Dogecoin (DOGE), and even PEPE.

There’s more! Wallet users will also gain access to an “Earn” feature. This will allow you to generate returns on certain assets, starting with options like Tether (USDT).

In the initial phase of this upgrade, the new altcoins will be focused on in-wallet activity – meaning you’ll be able to buy, sell, and store them directly within Wallet. For now, users won’t be able to transfer these newly added altcoins (other than TON) outside of their Wallet storage.
