Cryptocurrency expert Timothy Peterson has been diving deep into the current Bitcoin bear market, offering a historical perspective and a hopeful prediction: he believes we could see a recovery within the next three months.

In his recent analysis, Peterson points out that since 2015, Bitcoin has navigated through ten bear markets, each marked by a 20% decrease from its all-time high (ATH). While these pullbacks are quite common, happening roughly once a year, Peterson highlights that only four previous bear markets have lasted longer than the one we’re currently experiencing. The longer downturns were in 2018, 2021, 2022, and 2024.

Peterson also characterizes this current slump as relatively mild. His analysis of Bitcoin’s market sentiment suggests that prices aren’t likely to plummet much further below the $50,000 mark. Interestingly, he adds that current price momentum makes it challenging for Bitcoin to fall below $80,000, especially with central banks increasingly leaning towards looser monetary policies.

Looking ahead to potential recovery, Peterson forecasts that this bear market should wrap up within 90 days. He anticipates a possible dip in price over the coming month, but then expects a substantial surge of 20-40% after April 15th. He believes this expected rebound could generate significant media buzz, potentially enticing hesitant investors back into the game and boosting Bitcoin prices even further.
