Despite recent turbulence causing XRP’s price to dip, the network’s underlying strength remains clear, with growth showing no signs of slowing down.

Fresh data from Glassnode reveals a compelling story: as of April 7, 2025, the number of XRP addresses holding at least 1 XRP has surged to a record high of 6,255,795.

Signs of Strength Amid Price Dips

This impressive milestone arrives even as XRP’s price took a bit of a tumble this week, sliding from over $2.10 to around $1.60. What’s interesting here is the clear disconnect between short-term price fluctuations and the continuous growth of XRP’s user base, hinting at strong long-term adoption.

Market analyst Ali Martinez pointed to this data as a solid indicator of resilience, emphasizing that the XRPL network is actually gaining momentum despite the recent market jitters. The chart shared by Martinez illustrates a consistent upward trend in wallet growth over the past few weeks, fueled by the enduring optimism of long-term XRP holders.

A Growing Community of XRP Holders

It’s not just the number of addresses with at least 1 XRP that’s climbing; the overall number of wallets holding any amount of XRP is also on a steady rise, painting a picture of expanding interest.

Digging into the XRP Rich List, we can see this growth in action. At the start of the year, there were roughly 5.839 million active XRP wallets. Fast forward to now, and that number has jumped to 6.366 million, marking a significant addition of over 527,000 new XRP wallets already this year.

Going back a bit further to January 2024, The Crypto Basic reported around 4.9 million active wallets. Looking at the current count, it means a whopping 1.466 million new XRP wallets have joined the network in just over a year.

This surge in unique XRP addresses suggests a growing wave of interest from new participants. This could be fueled by speculation around XRP’s future potential, whispers of a possible ETF, and the ongoing progress of Ripple’s global partnerships. It seems like more and more people are seeing the long-term value in XRP.

So, while the price might be facing some short-term bumps in the road, this expanding community of users could be setting the stage for stronger price performance down the line, perhaps mirroring the positive momentum seen in the final months of 2024 and into the new year.

Small Holders Dominate XRP Wallet Landscape

Interestingly, when we look at the breakdown of XRP holders, it’s clear that small holders are the backbone of the community. A large segment, about 2.639 million addresses, holds a modest 0 to 20 XRP tokens. Another significant portion, around 2.518 million wallets, holds between 20 and 500 XRP tokens.

Adding these groups together, we find that these smaller investors account for a whopping 5.125 million wallets – that’s about 81% of all active XRP holders! This really highlights the broad distribution and grassroots nature of XRP adoption.
